Khoren Oganesian

Choirs Ohanessjan (Armenian Խորեն Օհանեսյան, in scientific transliteration XORen O̅hanesyan; internationally known as Russian Хорен Георгиевич Оганесян, choirs Georgijewitsch Oganesyan; * January 1, 1955 in Yerevan ) is a former Soviet - Armenian football player. The UEFA uses the Russian- English mixed transcription Khoren Oganesian or Oganessian.

In the National Team of the USSR from 1978 to 1989 he was active. In 1982, he played for the national team at the World Cup in Spain, where he came to three inserts in the primary and intermediate round and Belgium scored the decisive goal in a 1-0.

At club level he played from 1974 to 1985 for which he completed almost 300 games for FC Ararat Yerevan. After he broke up the dispute by the club he played for more, Soviet clubs, including the Soviet Erstligist Pachtakor Tashkent from Uzbekistan and then, when Armenia became independent in 1991 at Homenetmen Yerevan. The now renamed Pjunik Yerevan Club is Armenian record champions today. In 2003 he was elected the last 50 years to the Golden Player, the best player of Armenia on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of UEFA.
