Khovd (city)

Khovd (Mongolian Ховд, in older sources also Khovd ) is a city in Mongolia and the capital of the homonymous province.

Geography

Khovd is located at the foot of the Altai Mountains and has about 30,000 inhabitants ( 2006). At the edge of the city, the river flows Bujant Gol.

The city is the administrative center of Khovd aimags same name.

Traffic
