Khuda Ke Liye ( Urdu: خدا کے لیے, Hindi: खुदा के लिए Translation: In the name of God ) is a Pakistani film production of Shoaib Mansoor who is about the present situation of the Muslims.

Action

This is the difficult situation of Muslims since September 11. The plot revolves around a family and branches into three storylines that play each on different continents. On the one hand it is about two brothers who are both pop musicians in Lahore. One of them, Sarmad, comes under the influence of fundamentalists and the other, Mansoor, travels to America to study music, and is captured there illegally after the attacks of September 11, tortured and deported to brain damage back to Pakistan. The third storyline is about Mary ( Maryam ), who lives in England. She has there an English friend. When her father, who himself is living unmarried with a British woman who experiences he goes under false plans with her to Pakistan and forced to marry her there with Sarmad.

In the film, it involves both the Western Muslims and their problems in their adopted country. In this film, the music is discussed in Islam and justified towards the end with quotes from Hadith, what the film earned criticism. The film is also about how Muslims are treated in Western society and that people often react biased towards them.
