Khulo Municipality

Municipality Chulo (Georgian ხულოს მუნიციპალიტეტი ) is a municipality ( county ) in Georgia, in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. The administrative center of the municipality is Chulo Chulo. The area is 710 km ². The municipality has 35,500 inhabitants ( 2010).

In the West it is the municipality Schuachewi, bounded on the northwest by the municipality Osurgeti, in the north of the municipality Tschochatauri, to the east by the municipality Adigeni and in the south by the Republic of Turkey.

The area of the municipality is mountainous. It is rich with natural resources. The largest river is Adschariszqali. In the municipality there is also the Green Lake.

In the municipality Chulo there are some sights, such as the church and the fortress Schalta Chichani.
