Kilamba Kiaxi

Province

Kilamba Kiaxi is one of nine municipalities, municipios, from which the Metropolitan region of Luanda, the Angolan capital composed. This region belongs to the province of Luanda. In Kimbundu, the African language of this part of Angola, the name means, "Land ( Kiaxi ) of Kilamba ".

Kilamba Kiaxi has 64.1 square kilometers and 900,000 inhabitants. To the west it borders the municipalities of Samba and Maianga, on the east by the city of Viana, and on the south by the new district Kilamba and the river Kwanza. It also includes the neighborhoods Neves Bendinha, golf, Palanca, Havemos de voltar, Vila Estoril and Camama.
