Kilikia F.C.

The FC Kilikia Yerevan ( Armenian: Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ Կիլիկիա Երեւան ) was an Armenian football club from the capital Yerevan.

History

The club split from FC Pjunik Yerevan, as he was known by 1995-1999, from. Previously he was also known as 1992-1995 as Homenetmen. As Homenetmen they split in 1992 with the FC Shirak Gyumri Armenian football championship, while they were as Pjunik both 1996 and 1997 champion. But the Armenian Football Federation considers these championships as profit of the current FC Pjunik Yerevan. In 1999 they changed their name to Cilicia, and after just one season they were relegated from the top flight after they did not pay the entry fee. In 2003 they managed to climb again and finished since the league in sixth and fifth. With fifth place in 2005, she earned a place in the UEFA Intertoto Cup 2006. 2007, it rose from the table in ninth out of the top flight.
