The Kilsbach is almost 2 km long right or southeast tributary of the Gersprenz.

Course

The Kilsbach rises in the northern Odenwald between the farms that make up the hamlet Kilsbach. Its main flow direction is northwest. It flows right past the Wingertsberg. From the Waldschmiede, a nameless brook flows to him. The Kilsbach flows through the nature reserve fraction of Brensbach and leads finally to the south of Brensbach in the Gersprenz.

Renaturation

In the mouth area of ​​the Kilsbach was entrohrt and redesigned its river bed close to nature. The drainage ditches were closed to prevent drying out of the reeds and the alluvial forests.
