Kim Manners

Kim Manners ( born January 13, 1951 † January 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American television director and producer.

Life

Manners grew up as the son of producer Sam Manners. Like his brothers and sisters Kelly and Tana he went into the production of television series. He had his debut as a director in 1979 in an episode of the series Charlie's Angels, for whom he had previously worked as an assistant director. Until his death, he was continuously since then as a director of various television series such as Simon & Simon, Sledge Hammer! or Star Trek: The Next Generation operates. From 1995 he was like as a producer and director for The X-Files until the end of the 2002 series - active The Files. When The X-Files Manners led in 52 episodes directed. He was nominated for this four times in a row for an Emmy. From 2005 Manners was a producer and director of Supernatural, for which he has directed 17 episodes.

25 January 2009 Manners died at the age of 58 years to complications from lung cancer. In the credits of the Supernatural episode " Death makes holiday " Manners was with two photos with the caption "We devote an entire season, Kim Manners " and "We miss you, Kim " celebrated; a further assessment he learned in the credits of the fifth episode of the second season of Breaking Bad with the words " dedicated to our friend Kim Manners ."
