Kim Martin Hasson

Kim Kristine Martin Hasson ( born February 28, 1986 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper who plays for Linköpings HC in the Riksserien since 2012. The national team was elected at the 2006 Olympic Games as the best goalkeeper of the Women's tournament.

Career

Kim Martin began her career at Hammarby IF, for the male junior she stood in the J18 - J20 Allsvenskan and - Superelit goal.

As of 2002, she came parallel with the AIK Solna used and won with this, the Swedish Championship 2004 and the IIHF European Women Champions Cup in 2005 and 2006.

The rights for use in a men's league secured the Malmö Redhawks, for their male junior team they played in the 2005/06 season. At the end of the season 2005/ 06 they should play in the HockeyAllsvenskan for the Redhawks. However, the use was vetoed by the University of Minnesota Duluth, which had offered her a scholarship, as only players are allowed without professional assignments in college hockey.

Between 2006 and 2009 she studied at the University of Minnesota Duluth and played for the UMD Bulldogs, the ice hockey team of the University. With this team, they won the 2008 championship of their Conference and the college championship of the NCAA.

In 2013 she married her long-time partner Jay Hasson and took his last name on their. They also announced in advance of the 2014 Winter Olympics to end her career due to many injuries after the tournament.

Internationally

2001 Martin first participated with the Swedish national ice hockey team at the World Cup. The greatest success for Martin was about winning the silver medal at the 2006 Olympic Games and the award as the best goalkeeper of the tournament in 2006.
