Kim Merritt

Kim Merritt ( May 22nd 1955) is a former American marathon runner.

In 1975, she was by her victory at the New York City Marathon in 2:46:15 h U.S. Champion. The following year, she won the Boston Marathon, was second in the organized by Ernst van Aaken woman marathon in Waldniel and won the Honolulu Marathon.

In 1977 she won the Falmouth Road Race and the Oregon Track Club Marathon with the U.S. record of 2:37:57 h and was second in New York City. In 1978, she finished fourth in Boston and second in the Cleveland Marathon, 1979 Sixth in Boston and second in the marathon in Avon Waldniel in their second- best time of 2:39:43.

For the marathon in the U.S. Trials for the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, she returned to racing; her time of 2:43:31 but now enough only for the 53rd place.

Kim Merritt studied from 1973 to 1977 at the University of Wisconsin- Parkside.
