Kin Ping Meh

Kin Ping Meh (Chinese for plum blossom branch in a golden vase) was a krautrock band from Mannheim, which took its name from the eponymous Chinese novel.

History

The band was founded in 1969 in Mannheim, Germany by Joachim Schäfer and Werner Stephan (Ur - group was the school band " Thunderbirds "). It was discovered by Polydor in a competition of Bild am Sonntag on the Reeperbahn in 1970 and took the single " evrything 's my way" / " Woman", and shortly after the second single, "Alexandra" / "Everyday " on.
