King Size Dick

King Size Dick ( born December 29, 1942 in Cologne; civil Heinz Ganss ) is a German rock singer who sings mainly Kölsch.

Biography

King Size Dick, a professional truck driver, his musical career began in the 1960s in his hometown of Cologne in several smaller bands, the first band was Dick & The Shade. During his time as a soldier in Wales he was a guest singer with the band Brian Poole & The Tremeloes.

In the 1970s, he performed with the Black Fööss whose driver he was. He took over the vocal part in the success of titles Linda Lou, who has since become inextricably linked with the name King Size Dick.

In the late 1970s he played in the formation Dick & Alex along with guitarist and songwriter Alex Parche German rock songs like pigs in white vests.

Awards

King Size Dick is a carrier of Willi Ostermann Medal 2002; the highest official honor in the Cologne Carnival.
