Kirk Baptiste

Kirk Baptiste ( born June 20, 1963) is a former American track and field athlete and Olympian.

Baptiste won the NCAA championships in 1984 and 1985 on 200 meters and the gold medal at the World Indoor Championships in 1987 in Indianapolis and the silver medal at the IAAF Grand Prix in Rome in 1985. A world record over 300 meters he ran on August 18, 1984 in London, which was only in 1990 broken by Danny Everett.

The XXIII. 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, he won the silver medal between the two other Americans Carl Lewis ( gold) and Thomas Jefferson ( Bronze) in the 200 -meter run.
