Kiwifruit
As a kiwi, kiwi fruit or Chinese gooseberry is called the soft fruit of several species of Actinidia pen:
- Actinidia deliciosa delivers the major part of the Kiwis commercially available.
- Actinidia chinensis, including the brand name " Kiwi Gold "
- Scharfzähniger rays stylus ( Actinidia arguta ), frost-hardy with small fruits, commercially available as " Kokuwa ", " Weiki ", " Maki ", etc.
- Siberian rays stylus ( Actinidia kolomikta ), nor frost harder, but for commercial cultivation poorly suited, since the small fruits fall off quickly.
The term " kiwi " comes from the colloquial prefix for New Zealand and this in turn from the same bird as the Actinidia deliciosa was first exported from New Zealand on a large scale in Europe and North America. Originally submitted all Kiwiarten from East Asia.
