Kiyohiko Azuma

Kiyohiko Azuma (Japaneseあずま きよひこ, Azuma Kiyohiko, actually :东 清 彦; born May 27, 1968 in Takasago, Hyōgo, Japan) is a Japanese manga artist.

Early in his career, he recorded under the pseudonym Joji Jonokuchi (序ノ口 譲二, Jonokuchi Joji ) Hentai Manga, but also parodies of famous anime series such as Tenchi Muyo!, In the form of non- professionally published dōjinshi. End of the 1990s, published short stories by him in manga magazines.

From 1999 to 2002 he was at the Yonkoma Azumanga Daioh manga, a comedy about a group of high school students. Azumanga Daioh has been very successful in a short time in Japan, has been implemented as an anime and translated into numerous languages. Thus, he created the first Yonkoma manga, who had success internationally.

Since 2003 he has worked for the magazine Comic Dengeki Daio to Yotsuba &! That a comedy, but no Yonkoma manga also.
