Kjell Rosén

Kjell Gunnar Rosén Bertil ( born April 24, 1921 in Malmö, † 13 June 1999 Bunkeflostrand, community Malmö) was a Swedish football player and functionary.

Career

Rosén debuted on October 18, 1939 Malmö FF in Allsvenskan. Until 1950, he played in Sweden and scored in 379 games for 108 goals MFF. He was three times Swedish champion and cup winner. He then became a professional in Italy with AC Torino. From there he moved to Novara Calcio, where he played until 1953 at the side of the Italian striker Silvio Piola legend.

Rosén played 22 times for Sweden and scored six international goals. In the 1948 Olympics he won the gold medal with the team. After his move to Italy, he was not nominated for the national selection, as the Swedish Federation refused professional football. Therefore, the already nominated Rosén like many of his compatriots working abroad was again dropped from the squad for the World Cup 1950.

After his retirement Rosén returned to Malmö. At times he was involved in the youth work of his old club. 1968 to 1981 he served on the Board of Directors of MFF.
