Kjersti Grini Elizabeth ( born September 7, 1971 in Oslo, Norway ) is a former Norwegian handball player.

Career

Grini began in 1980 with the handball matches. The Norwegian played in their home at Jaren, Lunner Bækkelagets SK, dead and Tertnes IL. In 2000, the right-handed joined the Danish club Ikast - bording Elite Håndbold, with whom she won the 2001 Danish Cup and 2002 the EHF Cup. In 2003, she finished her career due to injury. Since October 2012, she plays for the second team of Gjøvik HK. In the 2012/13 season she ran once more for the first team of Gjøvik in the Elite series.

Grini completed 201 appearances for the Norwegian national handball team. With a total of 1003 hits, it is the top scorer in Norway. With the Norwegian selection, she won the World Championship in 1999 and Vice World Cup 2001. According to the vice - European Championship 1996, she triumphed with Norway at the European Championships in 1998. 2000 she won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games.

Private

2013 Kjersti Grini and her partner split after an eight- year relationship. Grini brought two common children.

Trivia

In 2005 Grini took part in a poker tournament on the European Poker Tour part. Grini finished in 23rd place and won $ 4,890. On March 29, 2012, she won a tournament in Dublin.
