Klaus Dierks

Klaus Dierks ( born February 19, 1936 in Berlin -Dahlem, † 17 March 2005 in Windhoek ) was one of the most important transport planners and engineers in Namibia.

Klaus Dierks studied civil engineering and history at the University of Berlin and graduated as Dipl. -Ing. 1965 and Dr. -Ing. In 1992. Immediately after his graduation Dierks went as an engineer in the Namibian government service for thirty years relevant when Straßenbauamt influence on the resulting road network of the country.

Since 1982, Dierks was a member of SWAPO ( later a member of the SWAPO Central Committee ) and sat down heavily on a "South - independent transport system ' a: only at the highway department, and later through his own engineering office Namibia Consult Incorporated.
