Klaus G. Troitzsch
Klaus G. Troitzsch ( born November 28, 1946 in Lahstedt - Oberg, Lower Saxony ) is a German sociologist and was a high school teacher and director of the Institute for Economic and administrative computer science at the University of Koblenz -Landau.
Life
Troitzsch studied sociology and political science at the University of Hamburg and the University of Cologne. In 1979 he received his doctorate in political science at the University of Hamburg.
Policy
From 1974 to 1978 Klaus Troitzsch was a member of the Hamburg Parliament for the FDP.
Work
As of 1986, Klaus Troitzsch professor at the University of Koblenz -Landau. From 1987 to 1992 he was dean of the faculty of computer science, from 1992 to 2000 Vice-Dean. In 2012, he went into retirement.
Services
Troitzsch is considered a pioneer in the field of methodological development of computer- based simulations in the social sciences. His research interests lie in the area of agent-based models and the micro- simulations. He was a founding member of the research group on modeling and simulations of the German Society for Sociology. In addition Troitzsch organized several social scientific conferences.
