Klaus Gruner

The graduate sports teacher played in the DDR - Oberliga in position left back, for the SC Leipzig and the ASK Vorwärts Frankfurt / Oder, SVKE Britz. With the SC Leipzig in 1972 he was master of the GDR.

His greatest successes came with the East German national team. He won the World Cup in 1974 the silver medal at the 1978 World Cup and the bronze medal in 1980 at the Olympic Games in Moscow, with the national team of East German Olympic champion. In a total of 112 international matches, he threw 295 goals. He trained at the time of the first men's team of TuS Jahn Coquille in the national league of Lüneburg and the female youth of the A- TuS Jahn Coquille in the Oberliga Niedersachsen.

1980 Klaus Gruner was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.
