Klaus Heymann

Klaus Heymann ( born October 22, 1936 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German entrepreneur in the entertainment industry and founder of Naxos in Hong Kong, a global record labels in the field of classical music.

Life

Heymann studied Romance languages ​​and literature at the universities of Frankfurt and London, at the Sorbonne in Paris and finally at the University of Lisbon, but interrupted his studies, which he earned as a tennis coach, not finish off. In 1967 he was commissioned a U.S. soldier magazine to Hong Kong to organize their Asian sales. By the way, he established a private shipping business for watches, cameras and hi-fi equipment.

He married the Japanese violinist Takako Nishizaki (1944 ). To give you an employment platform, Heymann founded ado 1982, the record label " Marco Polo", recorded for the Nishizaki rarely performed works. In 1987 he founded the label Naxos, where now also their son Henryk is busy. Naxos has a repertoire of over 6,000 classic music tracks. Parent company of both labels is the " HNH International" in Hong Kong, named after himself ( Heymann ), his wife ( Nishizaki ) and son Henryk. Heymann lives in Hong Kong ( Kowloon ) and Auckland.
