Klaus Heymann
Klaus Heymann ( born October 22, 1936 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German entrepreneur in the entertainment industry and founder of Naxos in Hong Kong, a global record labels in the field of classical music.
Life
Heymann studied Romance languages and literature at the universities of Frankfurt and London, at the Sorbonne in Paris and finally at the University of Lisbon, but interrupted his studies, which he earned as a tennis coach, not finish off. In 1967 he was commissioned a U.S. soldier magazine to Hong Kong to organize their Asian sales. By the way, he established a private shipping business for watches, cameras and hi-fi equipment.
He married the Japanese violinist Takako Nishizaki (1944 ). To give you an employment platform, Heymann founded ado 1982, the record label " Marco Polo", recorded for the Nishizaki rarely performed works. In 1987 he founded the label Naxos, where now also their son Henryk is busy. Naxos has a repertoire of over 6,000 classic music tracks. Parent company of both labels is the " HNH International" in Hong Kong, named after himself ( Heymann ), his wife ( Nishizaki ) and son Henryk. Heymann lives in Hong Kong ( Kowloon ) and Auckland.
