Klaus Kubinger

Klaus D. Kubinger ( born May 25, 1949 in Vienna) is an Austrian psychologist and statistician. He was University Professor of Psychological Assessment at the Institute of Applied Psychology, Faculty of Psychology of the University of Vienna. Since October 2012, he is retired.

Life

1973 doctorate Klaus Kubinger Dr. phil. psychology in Vienna and was assistant university there. Between 1974 and 1993 he also worked as a lecturer in statistics at the Institute of Sociology. 1985 and his habilitation in psychology; since Klaus Kubinger is both head of training and examination subject coordinator of the subject Psychological Assessment at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Vienna.

In 1989, his Master's degree in social and economic statistics. During his university career Klaus Kubinger also held several visiting professorships at the Universities of Graz, Klagenfurt, Berlin and Potsdam.

He became an associate professor in 1992. 1998 he was appointed University Professor of Psychology with special emphasis on psychological assessment in Vienna and transfer the management of the operating range of the same name. In 1998 he founded the testing and counseling center. As Head of the Institute of Psychology in the years 2001-2004 Klaus Kubinger was largely responsible for the reorganization of the institute into an independent faculty. 2004-2011 Klaus Kubinger was head of the Department of Developmental Psychology and Psychological Assessment at the Faculty of Psychology. In 1992, the qualification for clinical and health psychologists, and in 1997 qualified as a psychotherapist ( " Systemic family therapy "). 2004 acquired Klaus Kubinger the " license for professional aptitude evaluation according to DIN 33430 ."

At the beginning of the career of Klaus Kubinger were applications of the Rasch model ( item response theory ) to relevant psychological- diagnostic process and the use of the linear logistic test model ( LLTM, a special case of the Rasch model ) for the analysis of difficulty components in problem solving tasks with consideration of learning effects.
