Klaus Ottmann

Klaus Ottmann (* 1954 in Nuremberg ) is an independent curator, writer and editor.

Life

He received a master's degree in philosophy from the Free University Berlin. Ottmann is living in New York.

Ottmann Curator at the Phillips Collection Museum and teaches art theory and exhibitions at the School of Visual Arts, New York.

He was curator at more than 40 exhibitions, including, among others,

  • Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington DC
  • Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas
  • Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt
  • Musée d'art moderne et contemporain, Strasbourg
  • Haus der Kunst, Munich

Klaus Ottmann is also editor in chief of the small publishing Spring Publications and he laid the journal of contemporary art
