Klaus Waldeck

Klaus Waldeck is a Viennese musician in the field of electronic music, he usually occurs only by his surname as Waldeck, but is also known as Dr. Waldeck and as part of the Acts of Saint Privat. His style includes various forms of trip - hop and experimental electronic brand of jazz.

Life and work

At the age of six years Waldeck began in Vienna with the piano lessons, but did not hit directly a musical career. He studied law and was planning to make London his dissertation on copyright issues, but again there came into closer contact with the music scene. In 1996 he returned to Vienna, where produced Kruder and Dorfmeister his first tracks on the EP Northern Lights.

His first album, Balance of The Force was published in 1998 and is stylistically close to the genre of trip-hop. In 2001 he released his second album, The Night Garden. It was seven weeks in the Austrian album charts, reaching number 47

His current album is Ballroom Stories ( 2007), which is heavily jazz - inspired and often relies on the vocals by Joy Malcolm, Brian Amos or zeebee. The title Memories and Make My Day stand out in particular in this case. The second one was also used as the theme song of the TV advertising of the new C-Class Mercedes with Fernando Alonso. The album spent ten weeks in the Austrian album charts with the maximum placement of 49

The song get up .. Carmen was used in 2010 in a TV campaign for the Austrian mobile phone operator A1.
