The Kleinenbroich railway station is a railway station of the category 5 on the railway line Mönchengladbach- Dusseldorf. The station building from 1851 stands as a monument historical monument.

Location

History

The Kleinenbroich station was built as a single station between Mönchengladbach and Neuss in 1851 by the Aachen- Dusseldorf - Ruhrorter Railway Company and opened with the commissioning of the railway line from Mönchengladbach to Dusseldorf in January 1853. Initially, the station was also the station communities Korschenbroich and Büttgen. In order to meet the needs of communities and Korschenbroich Büttgen, Kleinenbroich had a large loading tracks and two Güterabstellgleise. 1870 then received Korschenbroich due to its traffic- meaning its own station.

The station had Kleinenbroich up in the 1980s, a signal box on the eastern station entrance, station street corner Matthias Street, which was demolished with the introduction of the S -Bahn line. A second signal box was located on the western side of the railway station area at the Neuss Str as interlocking guards. The dispatcher had its seat in the signal box at the station. The station building was built in the classical style and is a listed building. It consists of a two-storey, three-axis reception building and an one-storey, single-axle freight shed. The station building has a flat sloping roof, which is located on the gable constantly charging road or railway line. A roof bar indicates the year of 1851.
