The Little Pälitzsee located 12 kilometers southeast of Mirow and 9 kilometers south of Wesenberg in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern on the border with Brandenburg in the Mecklenburg Lake District; This runs along the south shore of the lake.

The water area is located entirely within the municipality of Wustrow. On the south bank are the Rheinberger districts Kleinzerlang colony Großzerlang and Großzerlang. In the northeast, the small settlement Pälitzhof, a district of Wustrow exists. The articulated lake has a distinctive southern basin and a narrow elongated eastern half. It is about 3400 meters long, in the western part up to 1200 meters and in the eastern part up to 500 meters wide.

His flow receives the lake from the west from the Canower lake. He drains southwest to the Wolf Brucher channel of Rheinberger waters and east to the Great Pälitzsee. The Little Pälitzsee is from west to east part of the 32 -kilometer-long federal waterway Müritz- Havel waterway ( MHW ) of the waterway class I. On the northwest shore of the lake is a campsite on the south bank of the Federal campground of the Association of Christian Scouts and Guides.
