The little roots in the Harz Mountains is an approximately 610 m above sea level. NN high southern slopes of the ridge on the farm ( farm ) near Sieber in the unincorporated area of the county resin Osterode am Harz in Lower Saxony.

Geographical location

The little roots mountain is located in the Upper Harz Harz nature park about 4 km northeast of Sieber, a district of Herzberg am Harz. He gets up from lying in the neighboring national park Harz field as withdrawing to the south ridge which forms the watershed between the west and Little Lost Kulmke Kulmke in the east. The western flank of the Little Berg's roots adjacent to the located at the Lost Kulmke nature reserve Siebertal. Approximately 770 m east-southeast is, beyond the valley of the Little Kulmke, the peak of the Great Mountain roots.

Afforestation

In the period 1596-1732, the two roots mountains were covered with beech and spruce in a small scale varying proportions.
