The Klekovača

The Velika Klekovača (1962 m) (the height data vary between 1960 m and 1969 m) after Cincar the highest mountain in western Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is the highest peak of the massif Klekovača. The mountain is located in the southeast of the city of Bihać in the communities Drvar and Bosanski Petrovac. The amount of the Klekovača is the boundary between the Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Flora

The area around the mountain is up to an altitude of around 1,500 m of forests of conifers and beeches. To find are the edelweiss and the yellow gentian.
