Klementyna Hoffmanowa
Klementyna Hoffmanowa ( Germanized: Clementine Hoffmann, born November 23, 1798 in Warsaw, † September 15, 1845 in Passy, now Paris) was a Polish writer.
Life and work
Klementyna Hoffmanowa, born Tańskich, wife of the author Karol Boromeusz Hoffmann, enjoyed a thorough education and has been matce by their first writing Pamiatka po dobrej (souvenir of the good mother) one of the most popular writers for children and mothers.
She founded and edited since 1824, the children's magazine: Rozrywki dla dzieci ( diversions for children) and has written several children's stories, such as Amelia and wiązanie Helenki.
1827 she was appointed the first teacher at a teachers institute and received at the same time the overall supervision of the girls' schools in Warsaw. Since 1829 married, she followed her husband into exile in France in 1831, where they literary work and the education of the children of emigrants devoted himself.

Your literary estate with her memoir was published in 9 volumes (Berlin, 1848). Klementyna Hoffmanowa died at the age of only 46 years, the consequences of a serious illness. She is buried at the Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
