The Klusen jump is a tributary of the river Wupper in the district of Wuppertal Elberfeld, local situation Kluse.

Location and description

The Klusen jump flows completely piped and leads only in very heavy rainfall water. His brick estuary is located near the old Elberfelder station halfway up the 15 -meter high retaining wall that supported the route of the railway line Elberfeld- Dortmund, opposite the deep flowing river Wupper and the city area with the Wuppertal theater and multiplex cinema.

At the retaining wall a sign with the name of the water body is attached. A ten -meter -long tunnel located behind the one-meter- wide mouth mouth hole.

For maps of the first third of the 19th century can be seen that the Klusen jump was a natural surface watercourse to the construction of the railway, the railway premises at the Dessau Road and residential development in the local situation. 1863 is mentioned in a city description that the Klusen jump is built over by the railway line.
