Kobuleti

Kobuleti (Georgian ქობულეთი ) is a district capital in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara in Georgia. It has 18,426 inhabitants ( 2008). The resort is located on the eastern coast of the Black Sea and is frequented annually by about 100,000 tourists in the summer.

From the 17th to the 19th century belonged to the feudal system of Kobuleti Tawgiridse family. The state's sovereignty was at this time when the Principality of Guria first, then the Ottoman Empire. In the Ottoman period, the city bore the Turkish name Çürüksu.

The main source of the city and its surrounding area are tourism and agriculture. Employers are primarily small and medium-sized enterprises. There are eleven churches, two mosques, four parks and 15 hotels.

The climate is mild subtropical. In the summer, usually the sun shines, the wind blows a gentle sea breezes and water temperatures are warm.
