Kojál radio transmitter

The transmitter Kojál ( Czech Vysílač Brno - Kojál ) is a device for the distribution of radio and television programs on the hill Kojál (600 m) at Krásensko near Brno in the Czech Republic.

The transmitter Kojál, used until 1985, a 324 meter high lattice steel mast with a triangular cross -section, which was built 1959/60 and was guyed in 63.75 meters, 135 meters, 213.75 meters and 292.5 meters. On the Set in 300 meters height measuring chamber, the antenna supports transmit antennas for FM ( in the lower part ) and TV was ( in the upper part ).

1985 this tower was replaced by a 339.5 -meter-high new transmission tower because a broken mast, as it is done at the transmitter Krašov in 1979, should be avoided. The reason for the broken mast of the transmitter Krašov fatigue was specified. The old antenna mast on the Kojál was identical to the collapsed towers at Krašov and was built in about the same time.
