The river Kola (Russian Кола ) is a river on the Kola Peninsula in the Murmansk Oblast in Russia. The river is 83 km long and has a catchment area of ​​3850 km ². The river flows out of the lake Kolosero north and empties into the Kola Bay, 10 km south of Murmansk. The river Tuloma also opens at Kola Kola Bay, about a mile west of the Kola. The mean river discharge is 43.6 m³ / s, but there are strong seasonal fluctuations. The largest tributaries are the Kiza ( Кица ) and Orlowka ( Орловка ) from the right, the Tjuchta ( Тюхта ) and the Medweschja ( Медвежья ) from the left. The only town on the River Kola is the city.
