Koliganek is a village of the Yupik Inuit in the Dillingham Census Area, Alaska. According to the 2000 census, there lived 182 people.
Geography
Koliganek is located on the left bank of the Nushagak River.
History
Koliganek was first recorded in 1880 as Kaliganek of the census. Since then, the village has moved 6 km downstream.
Traffic
The Koliganek Airport began operations in 1997. Boats, ATVs and snowmobiles are the usual local transport.
