Kölntriangle

The KölnTriangle (own spelling: KölnTriangle ) is the second tallest skyscraper in the right-bank part of Cologne. It was completed between 2004 and 2006. It is known as the KölnTriangle headquarters of the European Aviation Safety Agency ( EASA), through its observation platform and from the discussion of the Cologne tower concept.

The KölnTriangle is 103.20 meters high and has 29 floors. The name stems from the KölnTriangle floor plan of the tower, a triangle ( engl. triangle ) with arcuate edges, similar to a Reuleaux triangle.

History

The skyscraper was planned and implemented by the Rheinische pension funds as an investment. During the planning and construction phase was frequently in the press about the LVR- tower reported ( the Rhineland Regional Council is backing the RVK ). The project was called but by the beginning of the first planning to KölnTriangle. This name but later moved into the public consciousness.

The height of the tower was a political issue from the beginning, because the height for different political purposes was used.
