Koman Coulibaly

Koman Coulibaly ( born July 4, 1970) is a Malian football referee. He is since 1999 an international referee for FIFA.

He took part in the African Cup of 2004 in Tunisia, Africa Cup 2006 in Egypt, the African Cup of Nations in Ghana in 2008 and the African Cup of Nations 2010 in Angola as arbitrators. In 2010, he led the final match between Ghana and Egypt. He was selected as one of four African referees for the Football World Cup 2010.

On 18 June 2010 Coulibaly headed the preliminary round match between USA and Slovenia, which he got by wrong decisions in the criticism. The main criticism was the non-recognition of the American winning goal by Maurice Edu in the last minutes of the game. According to a report by the Focus, FIFA Coulibaly did not want to use in the course of the World Cup. An unnamed FIFA source was there quoted as saying: . "FIFA wants to uphold the referee standard if a mistake was made, which has influenced the outcome of the game, then it is very unlikely that he is still one more game in the tournament will lead. " Finally, the Malian official was not used in any other game of the World Cup finals.
