Kombat

Kombat is a small village in northern Namibia in the region Otjozondjupa, on the border of Oshikoto Region.

Kombat, located on the national road between Otavi and Grootfontein B8, was founded on the edge of a copper mine. This was long operated by Tsumeb Corporation Limited and is currently in the hands of Weatherly International, London. In the mine Glaukochroit was found. The name Kombat means "place of the giraffe " or " giraffes drinking ".
