Konakovo Power Station

The power plant Konakovo ( Konakowskaja GRES, Russian Конаковская ГРЭС ) is a coal-fired thermal power plant near the city Konakovo in Tver Oblast, Russia.

Built in 1969 power plant has a capacity of 2,520 MW and consists of four blocks.

A special feature of Konakowskaja GRES is that two of the three fireplaces also serve as an overhead line masts for the outgoing power lines from the power plant.
