Königsberg City Archive

The City Archives of Königsberg was the archive of Königsberg ( Prussia).

History

Since 1724 it was housed in the Old Town Hall. 1875 was transferred to the Collegium Albertinum in Kneiphof.

Leaders were August Wittich (1875-1897), Ernst Seraphim (1911 ), Christian Kroll man (1924 ) and Fritz Gause (1938).

Since the City Archives on the orders of Gauleiter Erich Koch in 1944 could not be outsourced, all fell archival British air raids on Königsberg and the conquest of Königsberg by the Red Army in the winter of 1945 to the victim.
