Königsseer Ache

The Königsseer Ache is a river that flows from the Koenigssee in Berchtesgaden. In Berchtesgaden it unites with the Ramsauer Ache and is called from here Berchtesgaden Ache. The length is 4.8 km (air line 4.1 kilometers ) as measured from the weir at the northern exit of the King Lake to the confluence with the Ramsauer Ache. Responsible for the river is the water authority Traunstein.

The Königsseer Ache rises on the northern shore of Lake King. The drain can be regulated by a weir. The weir was used to Holztrift. The state proposed to the Koenigssee wood was continued until just before the confluence of the Königsseer Ache getriftet on the Königsseer Ache in the Ramsauer Ache at the drift space.

The regulation of flows from the Koenigssee the Königsseer Ache is the subject of a citizens' initiative, which requires measures to reduce the risk of flooding along the Königsseer Ache.

The Königsseer Ache is not to be confused with the Königsseeache. As Königsseeache the Berchtesgaden Ache is called on Austrian territory.
