Konrad von Würzburg

Konrad von Würzburg ( * 1220-1230 in Würzburg; † August 31, 1287 in Basel ) was a German poet, epic poet and didactic poet of bourgeois origin.

It is named in Latin means " vagus " ( minstrel ), in German it is called often simply " Master Conrad ". Whether he has stayed after his departure from the Franconian a time in space Kleve, is controversial. He spent the last part of his life in Basel. He is buried in the Magdalene Chapel of the Basel Cathedral.
