Konstantin Makarov (ice hockey)

Konstantin Leonidovich Makarov (Russian Константин Леонидович Макаров; born September 17, 1985 in Ufa, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Saryarka Karaganda in the Wysschaja Hockey League since July 2013.

Career

Konstantin Makarov began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Salavat Yulaev Ufa He then moved to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk, for the first team, he was active in the Russian Super League from 2003 to 2005. Subsequently, the winger also played two years for Metallurgs League rivals Salavat Yulaev Ufa

In summer 2007, Makarov joined Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk, for which he in the following two and a half years - first in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the Kontinental Hockey League - was on the ice, before the 2009/10 season with locomotive Yaroslavl finished. For the following season, the Russian was hired by the KHL Amur Khabarovsk - participants, for whom he played until the fall of 2011 and 25 KHL games completed. He then moved to HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, which he left after another 13 games in the direction of HK Saryarka Karaganda. Internationally

For Russia, Makarov took part in the U18 World Youth Championship 2003, where he won the bronze medal with his team. For this success he contributed two goals in six games.
