Kornice

Kornice ( German Kornitz ) is a district of the city Litomyšl in the Czech Republic. It is located on the 383 m high hill Hlavňov, two kilometers north of Litomyšl.

History

The area of Kornice was settled in the last ice age. End of the 12th century here were the village Domašice and a field " Nakorniceh ". The village was probably moved to the present location of Kornice during the 13th century. Was first mentioned Kornice 1347th It belonged to the rule Litomyšl, with which it was connected until 1848. In 1850 Kornice was a part of the community Velké Sedliště. Since 1898, Kornice was an independent municipality. In 1976, the incorporation into the city Litomyšl. In 1991, the city had 147 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 46 houses, in which 150 people lived.
