Koro Toro

Koro Toro, also known as Koro - Toro, is a village in Chad on the way from N'Djamena after Faya, about 200 km from Faya.

Staewen reported at its Tibesti travel in the spring of 1964 by a small French fort and a handful of mud huts. The old French fort is obviously continue to be used since 2003/ 04 as a prison.

More recently, the place or the region by the discovery of fossils of the holotype of Australopithecus bahrelghazali at the site Koro Toro is 12 become internationally known.
