Korps Landelijke Politiediensten

The Corps Landelijke Politiediensten ( KLPD ) until the beginning of 2013, the civilian national police force of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with around 4,500 employees. She went on national polity in the Corps.

Tasks

When KLPD ( Corps Landelijke Politiediensten - KLPD ) were various places settled as water conservation, railway and highway police, Interpol Liaison Office, mounted police and a security service for government institutions and embassies. The KLPD is also responsible for the fight against organized crime and other wide tasks.

History

The country was divided since a large police reform in 1994 in 25 police regions ( politieregio 's), have the ever on a regional force ( regional corps ). Since the first of January 2013, the former 25 regional police forces, the Dutch National Police ( Corps Landelijke Politiediensten ) and the Collaborating Centre of the Dutch police form an entire Dutch police, in which about 63,000 staff are employed. 10 police districts, each headed by a director, national unity and the police service center form the new organization of the new corps. The new corps is led by police chief Gerad Bouman and his deputies Ruud Bik, Jannine van den Berg and Leon Kuijs. The restructuring is intended to ensure efficient operation.

Other national police units

The second nationwide police, the Dutch police ( Koninklijke Marechaussee ) with approximately 6,800 employees heard organisationally own strike force to the Dutch army and has tasks such as border guards, guarding the airports and personnel protection for the royal family.
