Korsnes

Korsnes ( Lule Hierenjárgga ) is a town in the municipality Tysfjorden in Regeion Ofoten in Nordland in Norway. The village is situated about 5 km north of the present-day Ferry Bognes on the west coast of Tysfjords. The Church of Korsnes (Norwegian Korsnes kirke or Korsnes kyrkje ) is located in the place. The postal address is " 8275 Storjord i Tysfjord ". The place is located 8 meters above the sea.

In earlier times Korsnes was visited by the Hurtigruta ( German Hurtigruten ). Today the fishing industry dominates.
