Kosheen

Kosheen is a band from Bristol, United Kingdom, consisting of the singer Siân Evans, Mark Morrison ( " Markee Substance" ) and Darren Beale ( " Darren Decoder" ) from Glasgow.

Band History

The two male members are originally from the punk scene, while Evans first sang in various jazz and R 'n' B bands.

The band's name was taken during a visit to a tattoo parlor and is " old " from the Japanese words for (古, ko) and " new" (新, shin) composed. He is supposed to express the stylistic ambition to combine modern electronic music with classic songwriting.

Kosheen had to produce as a target, a more "open " stage-ready type of drum and bass. The first single was called Hide U, the first album resist ( 2001).
