Kostas Koufogiorgos

Erl (Greek Κωνσταντίνος Κουφογιώργος Konstantinos Erl; born February 14, 1972 in Arta, Greece ) is a Greek- German cartoonist and painter.

Life

He grew up on the island of Lefkada and in Patras, Greece. After graduation in 1989 he started in 1990 at the University of Athens the study of economics. At the same time he began to work as a freelance cartoonist. His first cartoons were published in 1989 in the political magazine ODIGITIS.

Erl has worked for political and economic newspapers, for about 20 magazines in Greece. In addition, he has published books, advertisements and posters illustrated.

Since 2005 lives and works Erl in Germany and published his works in newspapers, including Financial Times Germany (until 2012 ), Handelsblatt (until 2010), Passau Neue Presse, Central German newspaper, Lübeck news, Magdeburg People's Voice, Schwerin People's Daily, Ostsee-Zeitung, Northern courier, Weser Kurier, context: weekly newspaper and magazines such as Der Spiegel and Cicero. In addition, he is with his column " Kosta Rika doors " the cartoonist of the Neue Rheinische Zeitung Online and illustrated weekly General Hotel and catering newspaper. He also works for a number of textbook publishers, online portals ( web.de ) and various magazines, such as the Swiss satirical magazine Nebelspalter. In Greece, he is the cartoonist for the daily newspaper Eleftherotypia.

He has lived and worked as a freelance cartoonist and painter in Stuttgart.
