Kotipizza

Kotipizza is the largest pizza restaurant chain in Scandinavia, and was founded in 1987 by Rabbe Grönblom. In the summer of 2009 Kotipizza led more than 250 restaurants in more than 130 communities. Some of the restaurants are operated jointly with garages, the northernmost restaurant is located in Karigasniemi in the municipality of Utsjoki. The profit of the retail chain in 2008 was reported at 64.9 million euros. About 95% of Kotipizza restaurants in Finland are operated through franchising. Outside of Finland exist Kotipizza restaurants for example in St Petersburg, Estonia and Suzhou (China). Kotipizza was chosen as the best franchising company in the years 1992 and 2009. The motto of Kotipizza is " Pizza, Love & Understanding". Some restaurants also provide free home.

Pizza Berlusconi

Kotipizza has named a pizza with smoked reindeer pizza Berlusconi.

With the Pizza Kotipizza won in March 2008, the Pizza competition America's Plate International in New York, beating the Italian team, which took second place.

Kotipizza named the pizza in an advertising campaign by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Kotipizza This is making a joke of Berlusconi's statements about the Finnish cuisine in summer 2005. Berlusconi stated that " endure " Finnish food at need. He also began a comparison between Finnish and Italian cuisine, and made disparaging remarks about smoked reindeer, a Finnish specialty.

The surface of the pizza is designed besides cheese with smoked reindeer meat, chanterelle mushrooms and red onion. It is made of principle " no eggs ".
