Kauhava

Kauhava [ kɑu̯hɑvɑ ] is a city in Finland with 17 211 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located in the countryside South Ostrobothnia.

The beginning of 2009 Kauhava was united with the neighboring communities Alahärmä, Ylihärmä and Kortesjärvi to a new city, which also bears the name Kauhava. As a result, the population of Kauhava has more than doubled and almost tripled the area.

Geographical location
